I got in touch with Barry's Tea and you can buy some in Flanagan's Irish Pub in Vienna. They have information on their website about where to buy, so you might get some more info there. I don't have any info about Tayto.

I'm a bit in awe here - stork nests, Lake Constance and the Alps, but most of all the crisps!

Hi Mark and Ellie, congratulations on your progress, I too have been fortunate with help from strangers when needed but I'm a lucky traveller and my mishaps have usually been my own fault through carelessness . My sister in Sydney is a keen tea drinker and I post her Barry's teabags occasionally. Could I post Ellie a box of them that she could pick up somewhere on your route. All the best and safe travels.

Thanks Gerry. We’re resisting the temptation of care packages for now, but if things get desperate we’ll definitely give you a shout.

"Zweifel", in German, means "Doubt" or "Dubious". I ponder on your ponderings about what this tells us about life in Switzerland.

Mark says the only thing dubious about those crisps was their price. In general we found that people around the German side of the Bodensee tend to make snide comments about their Swiss neighbours - the big joke is that the Swiss side of the lake has basically a rubbish view and non-EU prices while the Austrians and Germans are sitting pretty with a view of sunset over the Alps.

Tell Ellie that crisps are more than worthy of a forensic investigation at international level.
