Week 18 - decision time after some planning and preparation in Tbilisi sees Spoke Yokes plotting a course through the countries of Central Asia…and 24 hours involving gunshots, Stalin and a drenching.
Liam thanks for coming to the show. The theme of this show is definitely in line with what my crazy but amazing brother and his equally amazingly crazy partner are doing! I myself headed into the hospital the day after the theatre for my own adventure in the shape of major surgery but I’m enjoying following the adventures from my sick bed.
Oh Ellie, that was a great read! The adventures are coming thick and fast. So exciting, and so funny. It gives us joy back on the Compound to see you two having the time of your lives!
Geez, Louise, that was some party! Glad you got out of there relatively unscathed. The bed sounds awful. I wouldn't sleep a wink. Can't wait to read the next leg of your adventures!
That was a bit tight with the bank cards! What a day! A shame you've had to change your original hope to stay on the bikes but you're still on the move which is the main thing. All the "stans" to come. It's so brilliant following your adventures, you're both amazing! x
What an epicly eventful day you've described there! I loved reading abdout it and picturing each event as it unfolded. Also Churchkhela and Tklapi sound like foods I'd definitely also would like to have with me on my bike :)
In this somehwat purist mindset of wanting to start and finish a trip all within one mode of transport, I know from trips of my own, I can relate to your thoughts on packing up the bikes for the plane...
But I am certain that following through with your well planned route, that includes the plane journey, won't change anything about the depth and richness of your trip overall.
Best of luck and strong legs for whats to come next.
I listen to the audio and got momentarily confused when it read that you were in Gorey 😂. The videos are super and really bring the articles to life ❤️
Another amazing adventure
Still feel shivers of apprehension and adventure. Was at Vicki’s Dare To Dream in Theatre Royal and thought of you both. Surreal or what?
Earlier walking in Tramore and found myself thinking of Dermot and the Island. Mad stuff and 3 Swans.

Ah Vicki
The twists and turns on the road. Just a puncture. Get better soon.
Blessings and good vibes.

Thanks, Line. It’s a bit of a psychological adjustment but yes, the adventure is still real!
