Week 47 - Back in the saddle after Christmas, Mark and Ellie celebrate the start of 2026 with a whole new country after a sticky situation delays their exit from Thailand.

Och Ellie, all those hours of having to de-tar - admiration for your patience in a super messy predicament. On our way to Sumatra we stayed in a place called Penang in Malaysia , loved it - the street food was exceptional. Lotsa love and good wishes to you guys, hope 2026 brings you another wealth of sticky-free adventures xo
Even though it’s getting hotter again as we push towards the equator we’ve been enjoying our break from the Irish winter! Keep wrapped up warm, the longer days are coming 😜
Skipping a winter and spending most of our time active and outside in the fresh air for the past 11 months is definitely working wonders for our health and vitality!!

Oh so happy the newsletter has restarted! Love the crisps on new year's day but got distressed to think your bikes were destroyed. You create a bond with your bike, so happy the hours you put cleaning it worked out. I admire your patience too!

It was kind of surreal to just stop and go, oh, this could be the end of my bike! But I was really proud of how much I can do my own bike maintenance now too. I know so much more than when we started this trip. Loving Penang at the moment! Can’t wait to see what your next life adventure brings in 2026!
